Tamanna Islam Urmi is a graduate from MIT, class of 2016 and had a major in Mechanical Engineering. She is currently working at Pathao in the position of Data Analyst, Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management. She works as a visiting faculty at Department of CSE, BRAC University.

She has a passion for math and analytical problem solving since her childhood. She was a participant in the Math Olympiad and attended the national math camp for several years. She is a consultant of the Youth program at Prothom Alo which includes Math Olympiad, Missing Daughter initiative, Tarunner Joyotshob (Career counseling) and  En-genius.

Ms. Tamanna was the Product designer at ME SOLshare. She has the experience of working as Technical Specialist at iDE (International Development Enterprises). She was a designer at International Development Design Summit. She had been a Researcher for suitability of household water filters at MIT – USAID Comprehensive Initiative of Technology Evaluation (CITE). She was an Undergraduate Researcher at Brushett Group and Clean Water and Clean Energy lab. She is the former designer of the International Development Design Summit and volunteer intern at STG International.
